Didnt have any seals on hand, being I sent my last set to Fla to help a guy out in a hurry.  So went ahead and installed crank without seals. Last one I did I installed seals first.

What do you guys think is easier way to do it? I like the idea of no seals in due to not having to worry about flipping a lip. Whats your guys opinion?

Got the seals in today. Glad I ordered 2 sets for 2 saws.  :-[

Question.   On the clutch side seal or any seal for that matter if you happen to not get it even in case and try and straighten it up and the seal is then set to deep  :-[. How do you get the seal re-set right?  I couldn't figure out a way to get it out safely and ruined a $15 seal by pulling it out and just putting other new seal back in.

Ran them below the case with no issues before on my own saws.

On the clutch side of the 365 372 you have that metal bushing that slides inside the seal. Wasnt any room left to enter in seal and would create a leak.

I will get IPL and word in a moment.

Page 4 H pic of  bushing 503967001 goes inside seal.

Was putting another 372 together, but had to stop when the 50mm piston I thought I had turned out to be a 52mm big bore piston. Now I got 3 52mm pistons for 1 52mm BB372 cylinder.

So I went and got another BB372and  putting av in and fixing crack in bar plate area on the one 372  that leaks a little when full.

Just killing time today.  ;D

BB372 is potty trained again.

So far the fix with SealAll is holding on the saw that started this thread. Filled it up and set and no leaks. Put plate back on and b+c chain and ran it no leaks. Now to get a good test of cutting firewood some day to see how it holds up.

:'(  Well I thought I finally had enough parts to put my last 372 together that has been waiting  on the shelf.

Took everything out to make a parts list  :o. She still has a  ways to go, so back in the box she goes.

Good thing about it is I found parts I forgot about. Like a extra 362xp piston etc.  Also have 2 BB 372 pistons too, to trade or help others out with if needed, 1 new in the box complete kit and one used like new with no rings.

372 The only complaint is when heavy bucking the chips don't clear from the sprocket cover well enough and the chain jams up solid in the bar rails and sprocket nose, and it takes a bit of rubbing the chain back and forth on the log to free the chain up. Does any one else have this problem?

Just throwing this out there for you. There was a standard and wide cover option for those saws. I researched and learned about the wide cover when wanting more chip clearance for a 5ci 372 racesaw.

I'll ask 660 to post info or I'll dig the part number for you.  ;)

In case you forget the number, it is the cover for the current 372 XPW  (the XT style saw)

The older 372 XPW with the 375 cylinder from 2007 had a regular cover.
