Repo 372 I'll call it.  ;)

I think I received a 372 from fedex today. Wife had it set in the kitchen. When I got home and seen and smelled box.   :o :o

It was covered with a clear plastic bag over whole box. Guessing fedex did this.  Bar was hanging out the end with only few inches keeping it from going on out. Plus plastic bag.

The smell of gas was so strong I just took it to the barn. The saw seemed to rattle back and forth in box.  I can only imagine what I may find inside.

Some people just don't know how to (or care enough to) property pack a saw...

I'm just a middleman helping a friend get a saw that was owed him.  Hopefully it isnt busted up in box.

Might want to take photo's of the box, ect. beforehand just in the event you might make a claim for damage.  Its happened to me before, and pictures did help.  When I sell a saw with bar, I usually ship the bar in seperate flat container.   I have had many saws come to me with this problem.  Hope its OK.

Last saw i got the bar was sticking out of the box.  Don't know how it even stayed in the box.  Nothing packed around the saw. Attitude today is don't do anything more than you have to.  People just dont have any personal pride anymore.

I cover both ends of bars in cardboard and then duct tape the crap out of it. Then I duct tape the bar to bottom of box.  Little time and effort saves a bunch of BS IMO.

I was told by a guy that work for usps one time when he opened one of my boxes. He said it looked like I went to college fro shipping. LOL

I don't like being the middle man in situations like that.  Been in a few awkward spots that way....

I've received some VERY poorly packed saws and bars too (as well as many superbly packed saws and bars).

Nothing awkward on this one.   I had a friend that was owned a 372 for a long long time.  I seen the other guy selling a 372. I sent a PM. I had 372 owed shipped to me so I can get it to my friend.  I got my friends approval first to do this.
I just hate seeing some not follow up and take advantage and not pay their debt owed, especially to honest type folks  I know my friend is.

Like the friend says, anything in there is better then nothing.  Otherwise he may have never seen the saw in the future.
