Worked on a 395 that both the carb screws had loosed up enough for the metal sleeve in the intake to rub grooves in the face of the intake manifold. Replaced the manifold as I was afraid it would leak. Loose screws are always some thing to look for in a husky. I would say the newer the saw is the more likely it has loose screws somewhere that cause it to not run right. Just my opinion.
FEAR NO TREE. FEAR GOD.

Anyone seeing issues with these new carbs on this x-torq 372 saws.   Reading there has been leaky valve issues on them flooding saws.  Anything else going on.  Got another 372XT coming in sounding like this.

Here is what it is doing. My guess mix puddling in intake. Then when picked up flooding it?   Idle all day and runs great in the cuts. Set down idle all day. Go to pick it up and starts to stumble and then will shut off. Reason for me thinking puddling in intake till picked up. Ideas?

Just had a Bobby Walker OE 372 dropped off.
Has a different muffler then I seen on their stuff in past.
Is triple exits but instead of dual pipes it has dual deflectors with screens in.

pics.

Guy on CR G told me why on the new style way.  =   That's how Walkers does them now and how I have done them for fallers on Vancouver Island. WCB audits the guys and are against modded saws plus spark arrestor are a must...The triple port with screens seems to be sliding under the radar.

This one was shutting off when picked up too. Just like you hit the kill switch. I checked and cleaned coil connections, tightened everything and back by stop switch you could see where it was hitting on the AV spring. Also I rerouted the wire going to coil from switch. Plus fixed the bent tab at switch. Isnt doing it now. Could the tab grounding on AV spring shut the saw off?

I still think is puddling in intake a hair though. Will see after kit.

today

Looks like rebuild kit took care of the issue.

Tell you something I found on the walkerized muffler mods.  They take 2 short studs and put a bolt in with nuts and braze them shut. Then just braze the support.
While testing the saw and finished I shook saw side to side etc and could here a banging going on.  I text guy and told him I wanted to pull muffler and see whats going on in the saw.
Well one of the nuts was banging around in the muffler and the stud piece no where to be found. Hoping it went forward and out of muffler.
Anyhow I said you want me to leave that other one or use a punch and get it out of there too. He agreed with my thinking and get it out of there.

Still bugs me not knowing where that thread short stud ended up though.

New carb kit and installed a missing carb sleeve. Somebody just rolled up a piece of paper for the red plastic sleeve.

Cut great today with 24" buried after I sharpened the chain.

This is the 372xp OE that was muffler modded and portered by walkers in Vancouver Canada.
