just got for cheap and the bar wont go on anyone that can help me email jthomas4766@gmail.com

Is it the correct bar.   Is the bar hitting on the chain adjuster when trying to put it on.   

The chain brake is in the clutch cover.  Make sure it has not been accidently activated preventing the cover from going on. 

A picture of what you have could be some help also in figuring out what is wrong.
