Husqvarna 45 (1995-06) fuel system

Fuel line, inline filter ?
Newbie here so don't laugh.
I took the covers off to inspect the carb and air filter and  I saw a small black cylindrical part in the fuel line that looks like a filter.
What is it ?
By the way if that is not the gas filter where is it in this model, I have never replaced it, time to do it now .

I think figured it out.
It's definitely a one way flow check valve (it pops open if you pull on the hose ends).
It looks like it sends crankcase pressure to the gas tank to keep it pressurized.
Please correct me if anyone thinks I got it all wrong.

I replaced the gas filter which is where it usually is, in the gas tank.

Maybe take a picture of it.   Fuel filters are usually inside the fuel tank on the end of the fuel line.

A big thanks to the moderator, the parts file download, cleared up everything.
Is there a gas flow diagram from tank to the carburetor?
Is there a shop repair manual link for me to download?

 The only service manual for the Husqvarna 45  that I have seen is the multi-service manual that includes the 45

I have checked the vent valve one way action and the air flow to the tank, it was fine.
I'll have to check the tube to be sure it's free to allow air to enter towards the valve.

PS I had trouble with this because I had no manual to look at or knowledge of the way the sealed gas tank functions.

Take your tank vent off and see if you can suk air through it. Try both ways. Thinking only one way should work.  If I recall right
