Yes, any top end that fits may be on a saw that old - but it is a fact that the 51 EPA had a 44mm top end at least from 1998 to 2000. The power rating was the same as the "normal" 45mm top end though, but of course that doesn't nesessarily mean that it was a closed port one. I just assumed it was, as those are plentiful out there - but as I said I have no evidense either way.....

I was going to grab a husky 51 like new with case for $50. I got a text back it was already sold. Didnt last a hour.
