Well, I have several OP 61s that really run well, so I agree with that. I built four different saws for my wife to use. All of them are up for sale because she did not like them for one reason or another.

Husqvarna 246 with 242 CP top end, liked the weight but too hard to pull
Husqvarna 55 with 46mm CP and 028s piston, too heavy, too hard to pull
Husqvarna 257, too heavy, she could pull it but did not like the saw
Solo 647, too heavy

Just bought myself a Husqvarna 543 just to see, she ran it after which, she promptly moved to her gardening  tool crib, light weight, easy for her to pull, and small. I will never see it again! :-*

Saw troll is it a clam shell crankcase like the 455.

Either way no matter what design it is, it is still worth 100 easy if in good shape.

No clamshell - it is built like a pro saw.  :)

Just thought of something.  My fastest cutting partner 5000 and dolmar 166 were both made open port from closed port cylinders for racing. They had the bridge removed.
This was something that Marcel Vincent MVP racesaw builder used to do and worked real well and  builders copy his work today.

There have been some extremely strong open port saws.  The 82cc McCullochs (SP-80, PM-850, PM800, etc) and 69-85cc Poulan 4200-8500 CounterVibe series come to mind.

Well, got tied down with family stuff all day and it sold. :( If it ran as good as it looked it must have been a steal. I should have known, next time I will.
