My 562 doesn't usually start with one pull.

I'm shutting down the testing for now as we're getting a blizzard rolling in tonight. Winter's now officially here.
I got my competition stage trailer packed up and got a tarp over it as I need it dry and ice free for the upcoming speed cutting events in February.
Will try and squeeze in some more videos in the weeks to come.

If anyone's interested I can post the part numbers for the 562XP .325 small 7 spline sprocket rim conversion.

Yes I'm in Thompson, Manitoba. The blizzard is coming from the south and Saskatchewan west of us is getting it too.
A couple a days ago Colorado was getting this cold front and when we get it we call it the "Colorado Low". Everyone between like Montana,  the Dakota's,  Wyoming and Minnesota  get hit hard too.

No updates to report but I came to realize my cants I'm cutting in my videos aren't 8"x8" but are almost 9"x9".
I was watching a bunch of videos were the competitors were cutting 8"x8" and I was thinking boy those cants look small. So I put a tape measure to mine ........surprise.

The standard setup on the 560xp in Europe is .325x7 with a 15" bar. I figured that was silly, so the first thing I did was replacing it with a 3/8"x7 setup, and also plan to test a 3/8"x8 one, with a short bar (16") for limbing and a little more (it worked well on my MS361).

I never got around to it so far though, as my body has refused to cooperate for a few years (lots of bone surgery, due to damage, arthritis and wear) - and now I have to add .325x8 and 7 to the list.

Just more fun to look forward to though, I have all that I need to do it, including new 16" Oregon 21LP and 73LP chains, and small and standard spline drums!

Hopefully, it happens some time next year. ;D

Niko, thanks for the info on the 560XP you guys have over in Europe.
MS361 doesn't have the extra WOT that the 560/562 Rev Boost offers for limbing. So the little 7 pin .325 rim still works good on the 560/562 for limbing plus you have that lower gear for big wood felling and bucking. When I test the 28"b/c in bigger wood the 7 pin should really prove its worth along pulling a full skip 23RSF or 20JPX.
I ran the 9 pin .325 rim on my 562 for a few months and noticed limbing speed in spruce was insane quick in the smaller limbs but slows down quick in the bigger ones. Bucking it held good speed in bigger wood but chain had to be kept pristine sharp as my completely stock 562 has over 1500 hrs on it and just a mild muffler mod to help it out. My videos shows it still holds it own.
Then I put the 7 pin small spline rim/drum on and noticed right away the extra grunt it had bucking big wood. Limbing still seemed very quick and in the bigger limbs the chain didn't slow down near as much as the 9 pin did.
The 8 pin .325 was a happy medium but the stop watch proved it was slower bucking then the 7 pin.
All in all I like the .325 on a 60cc saw, very smooth, I can run a narrower contour bar with it and be able to bore cut smaller diameter trees. Plus in my tree removal business less saw chips to clean up after over the 3/8. Every ounce of weight saved with a lighter chain and smaller rim all adds up over the day running  that saw. Also less fuel burned and reduced power loss with increased chain speed in the cut.
70cc and over saws 3/8 all the way and not afraid to run .404 on 90 cc and over.

Get back cutting Niko, nothing like being in  the outdoors dropping trees and smelling fresh saw chips. You'll get back into good physical health quick. It will be really something to look forward to for you in the spring  :)
