Husqvarna 60 Rancher.
« on: January 19, 2014, 01:22:16 pm »
This summer I found a interesting saw I would like to find out more of.

If you have any memory or document on this I would really like to know.

They have likely used this one for parts for other saws in family.

It never had a tag on it, but it has had handles, tank that is now missing.

I looked and there is nothing listed anywhere on any 60 saw that I can find.  Not on any list of saws mentioned.  Not here anyways.

Interesting though.

Sorry no, never heard or read about it anywhere that i can remember (except for your pictures).

What it sounds like is a 61 with a 1 mm smaller bore - but why would they have made such a thing?  ???

All that would make some sort of sense is a TOMOS version for the East European market in the 1980s?

How do you know it has a smaller bore? Has this been measured and stated?

I obviously don't know - but there should be some reason for the different model number, and it fits with a 1 mm smaller bore (that would be 59cc).

Other possibilities I can think of is a misprint (very unlikely) or a totally fake Husky....

Yep - I said "what it sounds like" - and hardly would have said it that way if I knew something!   ;D

The only theory that makes some sense to me is the TOMOS/Eastern Europe special one - another WAG.....

In reality. Niko I had thought maybe Magnus had measured the bore and I missed it where he stated smaller bore. Thats why I ask when you said that.

Just a reflection over the number 60, and what it might mean.
