I'll go look up the carb IPL and I will be able to tell.  Thanks Niko for help.  8)

Was looking the 66 over today. the top end looking through the spark plug hole looks brand new. Pulls 160 psi.  Has a Gilardoni 2 cylinder.

This part loses me. On the tag Tomos yugoslavia   ???

Got a HS224 with no choke or choke lever. Using a squirt bottle with mix to fire off.

I have a Tilley 218 with choke set up, wonder if it is the same as used on the 224 carb?

Saw Troll could fill you in on the non Swedish Huskys. Our last run of 266's here in Eastern Canada were from there also. Had a mint one that I regret letting go.

The 66 is one of the Husky models that was made at the Tomos factory, as part of a political deal initiated by late Prime Minister Olof Palme (yes that infamous one) in the 1970s. Late 65s and late 266xps also were made there, and more...

The usual rules regarding the black vs. "silver" number tags don't apply to those saws.

The later ones are marked "Slovenia" instead of "Yugoslavia", for obvious reasons.....

1987 - 1991 what the IPLs indicate - but they may have been made later than that by TOMOS.

The first IPL to show the plastic brake handle is the 1989-02 one.

The one in the pictures looks like a TOMOS made one, based on how the number plate looks.

Forgot to say; I do not know when production was moved to the TOMOS factory, or if there was any "overlap".

The same is the case with the 266xp.
