Chainsaw Repair

Can anyone here provide us the CR/SKF/National/etc industrial #'s for these Husqvarna crank seals?

503 26 02-04 as used on the 61/266/268/272 saws.  These saws use common 6202 bearings.

503 26 02-05 as used on the 281/288XP and 285/1100/2100/298/2101 saws (and probably others).  These saws use common 6203 bearings.  I have National 471466 and SKF 6904 numbers for another saw series (Poulan 4200-8500) that uses the 6203 bearings.  Those should work, as long as the seal body width is compatible.  Can anyone confirm this (or say it won't work)?

Tim (Fossil) figured out the 61-272 series seals.  That one is in my seals list.

Husqvarna 61-272XP

-FW & PTO seals: 503 26 02-04. National 15X26X6 metric seal (double lip like OEM). The size is the part #. I couldn't find an SKF that was 6mm wide. 7mm was the smallest in 15X26

Best method to get correct seals is to measure the hole in the crankcase(o.D.),measure the crank diameter (I.D.),and measure the width of the seal.Go to a bearing supply store,they can get them overnight, but be sure to specify a "Double-lip" seal,or you will likely get a single lip seal- it will have the inside lip but not the outer lip.
Since the seal must hold against pressure and vacuum the 2 lips are more desirable.
And of course they cost much less than factory original...
