He had said 1/4" chain in review. He corrected it today.

Very sorry, my mistake. I think in my brainset of giving as much info as possible I lost concentration, it is a 3/8" LP 0.050 semi

I'm not sure why it looks so skinny. After seeing the comments I've been outside and checked, and, in the body itself it is about an eigth wider in the body than a 200t, yet it is about an eigth narrower including the side handle. Perhaps this is due to colour of the clutch cover, I'm not sure, but to show the optical illusion I even pared it up(one thing I hate to see usually) with a 200;

This T540XP owner or tester is from the United Kingdom and it sounds like it's a pre production unit. From the picture on Husqvarna Canada's website the "soon" to be available 540 has flippy gas/oil caps, this UK unit is old style caps.

But that loop with "no rope" stamped on it is puzzling.

More good feedback.

Ran one briefly last summer.  All the power of a 200t with the balance and ergonomics of a husky top handled.  Different size hand grip options and a few different ways to connect to a lanyard/ ring for a saddle attachment.  The see through chain brake handle was nicer than I thought it would be.

Auto tune was a bit strange as the saw never seemed to bog, but cutting performance was high. All in all a hammer built for tree work.  Keep in mind I am pretty much a husky guy who has been forced to run a Sthil in the tree for various reasons.

I'll own one as my next top handled.

Talking with someone in emails about the 540's. They say they are in route to their place.  I'll believe that when I see it.

(( These saws are en-route from the factory. We should see them next week?    List $579   Sale $499.00   ))

The T540xp is listed on the web-site here now, with a price that actually is lower than the 338xpt, but I can't confirm it actually is availiable.... ;)

It is quite common (with Husky) that the manuals are out before the saw itself, so that isn't really a reliable clue. ;)

I want a 540 IPL to look at the build of the saw.  ;) ;D
