I have the full auto tune service tool kit. Need help...
« on: March 11, 2016, 06:22:20 pm »
Lets just say I got a deal I could not trun down being, I have a 550 auto tune. It is the updated one from last year(kit).. Can I even use it. I heard you have to be in a dealer network to use it. I am not a dealer as you all know. I was wondering the cds that with it what comupter OS will work good with it or what? I have no clue on this.. I have a new carb for my 550 that needs frimware loaded on it. I was going to use the kit. So the man thing can I get full use out of the kit or what? Please Help!  The kicker is the husqvarna dealer by me where I got my 550.  Has no clue on this or service tools for any saws.

Thanks
Jason

I'm only guessing but assume it is compatible with Win 8.1/10?

Stihl and Husqvarna made their parts and service setups Internet interdependent for the complete system. Wish you luck.

I got a deal on one so I thought.  Updates have to be installed by dealer + it going to be obsolete soon with another system .  Sell you my kit $100.

I was at a GTG in Oct and there was a Stihl 261 M-tronic that was doing like your 550XP. It had run perfect for the guy the previous May.

For updating the firmware on the Auto Tune control unit, you need to have accsess to the dealer support side. The firmware update must be downloaded from there and after that the control unit has to be flashed with it. Without being a dealer and dealer accsess you can only read out the stored data and view the history, as I know.

I found a dealer that will let me buy the kit and use his dealership to use it.. I am very happy or very lucky..
I got the 3 346xp's both give to me need top end kits and a good cleaning. Decomp valve took both out. When I rebuild them NO decomp vale will be put in them.
