Inside the Husqvarna 543xp
« on: July 19, 2014, 11:20:53 am »
Well gentlemen, I have one here.   Been running her all week to get a feel for the saw.  First off, do not pick up a demo saw, or any 543 with less than seven tanks if you want the real story.  This saw was the most disappointing pro saw of any manufacturer I had ever run.  That couldn't be the end of the story so I talked with a couple others that have run the saw.  I was encouraged to get some time on it......and the saw will come to life.  Well, ten to twelve tanks later, they were right.  The 543 has become a totally different saw.  Is it worth the 499 msrp?  Jury is still out.

All rubber AV mounts.

Not a runner.  Closest thing I have is my personal 435.  I have always liked the 435 and wanted this one for a replacement.  To be honest, I wanted to throw it in a dumpster for the first coupe tanks.

Working on a video review of sorts.  It takes a lot of time so be patient.

Mitch if that thing takes to porting the way the non strato redmax 3800 did or even close to the redmax 400 strato ones.  It will be fun to run.

 I hope it does.

Handles great and is very smooth for rubber AV.

Thanks for this Mitch! I've been interested in this one.

I'm in the middle of a 346xp build. Trying my hand at cutting a cylinder base. Be awhile before I get another saw...
