Is the Husqvarna brand chain any good?
« on: December 03, 2013, 05:56:55 pm »
Hi I just went to my local saw shop (Husqvarna dealer) to get a chain to buck up some fire wood. He usually sells me Oregon chains. But this time he made a a husqvarna chain and said I'd like it. He put it in an old husqvarna chain box then scratched out a number and wrote LG on it.  for future reference if i wanted an other.
I am asking the quality question because I buy husqvarna thinning saws for work and the husky blades that come on them seem to be soft and you cant keep an edge on them. If you hit a rock might as well throw it away. Just wondering if its lower quality then other brands

I have some Husky chain and it is no different than Oregon if you get the same version in each.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...

Yep!

However, I read somewhere that Husky is setting up their own Chain factory in Norway, but I haven't seen any resulting Products yet......
