L65 or 365?

Hello, i have a L 65 Husqvarna but i have also seen it called an 65 L online. I need a new piston and ring kit. It takes a 48 mm piston, i keep comin up with 365, is this the same saw. it saws the 365 uses a 48mm piston. will this work in the L 65. i think i read the 365 is a chop saw?...thank you.

The 365 and L65 are both chainsaws and no the pistons are not interchangeable. The HVA part number is 537 07 30-01 for all versions of the Model 65 saw. The part costs $114 in the US.

I believe Meteor makes a replacement for the L65, it is piston number 1462 and is 48mm diameter by 41mm tall and uses a 12mm pin.

Those saws are several generations apart, and very different - but the bore and stroke are the same, as is the bar mount they take. That about ends any similarities.

Thank you for the imput on my L 65, i found a piston kit on ebay for about 35. dollors, same # and it is Meteor , but it dont come with a wrest pin bareing. could i use the old one? thank you
