MIGHTY HUSKY 235
« on: January 16, 2015, 04:02:06 pm »
I own many Husky 235s and they are tough, and powerful for their size.

They are no Husky 385XP, but they have a place in my CAD.

Nice little saws for the money. I had the poulan pro version in 3516.  The AV husky version would have to be better for the vibes.

That said I do prefer the weight and cut of the 435 husky better then the 235.

Sometimes he has good info to share. But a lot of times Niko is a saw snob about saws he reads about.    You learn to just look past the bias post and look for his good post that contain real info on saws.

Glad you like the set up.  I had the basic idea of what I wanted. Then with members ideas this is how it has ended up.  Started the site end of Feb 2011.

We are more repair and learning related over here.  More of a mature type crowd just wanting to learn without wadding through 100 pages of BS to find the 1 post with info.  Hope you enjoy and can share what you know with us too.

The 235/240/236 were made at the Poulan factory, as lowest end "homeowner" saws branded as Husky, and no doubt were worse than the (also Poulan made) saws they replaced.
Power to weight ratio is really low, as is quality, and they are already gone from the market (at least on this side of the Atlantic), replaced by the 135 so far.

I know dealers both here and in the US that just refused to sell them.
