Chainsaw Repair

yes 5F....it was brutal but the oil was slinging fine.
I havent gotten to fixing it yet.
After it stopped oiling I thought to myself "I bet this thick oil jammed that pump up and stripped the gear" but I couldnt bring myself to believe it would be that delicate.

I never run bar oil in any saw just cheap muti weight motor oil. I thought new saw I should be running the right stuff in it.

So what prevents an adjustable oiler from doing the same thing?

The day the oiler stopped running it was 50F out. If it was slinging oil in the bitter cold a few weeks ago, I cant see why thick oil would fail the pump on a 50F day.

The local Husquavarna service/sales place told me they probably wont cover a bad pump under the warranty, as it is a "wear" item" and I was not using "husqvarna" chain oil. he a nice guy, he said he didnt want to end up charging me for a service call on parts not covered or cleaning to solve the problem.

I will update you and take a few pics when repair day gets here.  I wonder how long it will take to ship an oiler from Sweden lol
