Thank you very much for the suggestions so far. :-)

But since the chainsaw is brand new, it shouldn't be neccesary to clean it.

I don't know if they applied sealing compound between the oil hose and pump from the factory - Maybe I can suggest that to the dealer?

I don't want to take the chainsaw apart myself, since it's still under warranty.

I would take it back and say either fix it, or give my money back in full.  Its not normal for any chainsaw to leak oil like that when new.  this is bad assembly at the factory.  normally a saw starts leaking when it hits a couple of years old as the rubber shrinks, or after its been pulled apart once or twice and rerassembled with the same packing for the oil tube.  your dealer is lazy.
