455 won't prime
« on: September 28, 2014, 10:58:39 am »
My primer bulb broke so I replaced it and the two fuel lines attached to it. Now it wont prime and it sounds like it is sucking air. It ran one time after all the replacements with no problem but when I tried to start it two weeks later I kept getting the air sound while trying to prime it. I've looked all over for a repair manual and can't find one. Any help is appreciated.

Try switching the lines at the bulb,  they might be backwards.

It's a purge bulb, but yeah the lines are likely crossed...
