For those members interested; the complete version of the tutorial will be up for download in the tutorials section of the forum. The modification and reassembly of the saw is complete. It is ready to start!

Even though the modification of the saw is complete, the documentation process goes on. I still need members to review the document for completeness and error detection so come on guys give me a hand here!

Cheers

Thank you all for your kind comments. Getting close to wrapping the tutorial up, perhaps in the next few days.

At this point I am putting the saw back together and documenting the process then the only thing left to do is try the 365SPecial piston in it.

What I really need from all of you is your opinions on omissions, clarifications and additions. My target audience for the tutorial is someone who wants to modify their or a saw but does not know how to get started.

When this one is completed there will be another demonstrating how and why to use the factory methods and tools to do a bottom end job on a Husqvarna 365/372 saw!

I read through page 51 and into the part numbers, is this where it ends?  You need to add some kind of synopsis.

No it does not end on page 51, it is not yet finished Sharkey, I am still documenting the reassembly of the saw! It will probably reach 70+ pages when completed. Do you think that you would be able to convert a 261 to a 262XP with only this document as a guide?

Will be great to read the rest! This is very well done.

If focus is on making it a 262, perhaps focus should be on 262 piston? The 365 stuuf is interesting, but another cookie.

That is the current thinking on my end also, the document will stay focused on the 262XP, later I will add an addendum covering the trial of the 365 piston and if it is really a viable option or not.
