Yes they do use carb temp as a parameter.

ya built 1 using the carb from the 365/372 xt , Chris still has that saw . I'm building another for myself for logging . I find all autotune saws donot like the hot humid weather we have here , husky and stihl go pretty rich in this weather so it would be nice to be able to be able to set the jets

the one Chris has I did nothing , You have to watch how much compression you have in the saw , to much compression the crankcase gets hot pretty fast and you loose power, but the 562 likes alot of porting

on that 562 I built a block out of alum. and mounted the carb to the block as I knew the saw was not going to be used as a firewood saw , this 562 is going to have a rubber piece between the carb and cylinder to stop heat getting to the carb as this one is a total worksaw , Also found for a worksaw the 562 likes a big ass hole in the muffler to let as much heat out as possible , yep its loud but it works all day long

I've seen a lot of UHMW used as insulator blocks. Phenolic blocks (Ryertex) has also been used. You can get the Phenolic material with carbon in it (Black) also

Nothing wrong with Delrin. It does better in hot environments than does UHMW.

I was just wondering if those would be better than aluminum. I know it would be a little easier to make.

I'm using the rubber boot from the 365/372 xt on this 562 , just made a alum. piece with round part machined on it for the boot to clamp to , its pretty easy to do . I need to send abit and get a non limited coil setup to fit in the place of the stock 562 has , I want at least a 15,000 rpm coil as my other ported 562 that I use in the bush  is on the limiter all the time
