Why no chain brake handle on the 346 in the video?

Glad to see the little 346 OE is still OK.
The 346 NE that I sent you is my personal fire wood saw with bone stock factory carb with the primer bulb still working. My son wont use that 346 for cutting firewood, he says its to darn slow. He was fine with it until I built the Partner 5000.

Dan

Wow then I would like to see that 5000!

Back when COLD start racing sometimes you could grab the brake handle instead of top handle or hit brake handle and engage the freaking brake in the cut.

;D Well as a matter of fact I too know someone who did that also .As a matter of fact the same guy is typing on my keyboard at this very second .

If you ever get to central Pa, stop in and run it, you can play with it it as much as you like.

That woods ported work saw, partner 5000 plus I had with tiny oem carb has  the most torque in the cut so far for me in 0-50cc.

It was fun to run in the wood pile helping others with firewood. Guys called it a NASCAR saw.

I am running a Walbro hda from a Stihl 039 on the 5000. I did manage to get all of the covers and the air filter back in place but i was testing my patience.

What HDA carb did you use?  My IPL's only show HD carbs for 039.

I pmd you on AS to ask where you were from, my girls parents live in linden/ williamsport. we are headed there in june.  I have a 346 that you built but then was worked on by  big Dave,  runs good but could possibly run better, its got some super high numbers.

Regards

David

That was my mistake. I must have  HDA on my mind. I used a Walbro HD 5 on the 5000.
