Yes,  but which is better?  They were machined to different shapes.  One like a chamfer or needle,  the other more rounded.   The pistons in these pumps move back and forth axially somehow as they are rotated.  When the needle is screwed out towards a higher oil flow is it just allowing a longer stroke of the piston?

If anyone knows better how the 154 pump works I am all ears. 

I will by common sense get a new,  assumedly longer gasket tube for the outflow.  If I can't do that I suppse I could use an O ring or soft washer to pack the tube on the crank case side which would force it to seal.

You guys are spoilt for parts in the States.
