The plastic pump body had the piston running in a brass (or bronze) sleeve.  Can't remember what the aluminum pump body had.  I will get another look today or tomorrow when I fit a brand new outflow tube ("gasket").

I found a local small engine service shop that service Husky and access parts from Husqvarna head office here in Auckland.  We'll see what my $2.50 part costs me.  They have a NZ$11 handling fee for items like this.
