If you can get it close with the screw driver, then perhaps one of those little tiny ignition wrenches that no one uses any more to snug it up.

Manual pics also show the motor out messing with the oiler.  I'd sure try to get it without doing that first. What a pita for just that.

Opened up the access hole thru the plastic, just a bit. But, I can't grab a thread now......see if I can come up w/a tap somewhere today........yes, a PITA for sure.

 Husquvarna have there own bastard size's? Couldn't even come up w/a nut that fit the adjuster to find the correct size for tap.

May be metric, from the picture it looks to be metric fine thread 0.8mm pitch.

Thats kinda what my buddy figured........with what he had to check and work with, could not be positive. Going to a machine shop tomorrow, hopefully get it figured out.

Got a idea just now. From looking at this 338 oiler  pic.
Separate the part that screws into the case.  Then put the part in the case first then screw  the adjuster part back in the other part once installed back in the case.
 Remember I am just WAGing here.

The piston pump needs to be slid back in the pump housing to allow for the control bolt to thread into the pump housing. The round portion above the threads on the control bolt rides on the end of the pump shaft  near the splined portion. Once the control bolt fell out the piston pump slid forward enough to not let the control bolt slide in. May be I am missing what you are asking.
