Several small saws use 1-1/2  to 2 turns on the needles.

Not knowing what saw the original poster has, it is best to open the needles greater than one turn.

If too far open, the saw will still start but be too rich. From that point the needles can be adjusted for the chainsaw to run properly.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
