Looks like the 372 5 cube builds are starting to make their mark.

Seems like everyone is building a 372 right now. I would like to build a piped saw but the time and tools to do it with isn't there.

My guess back in the old days is paying off, I was thinking parts are there unlike the 181 thin ring pistons (I think Adam Clarke was the first one I seen building a 372 into a piped and 5ci.)

I knew they would make a good 5ci when my pump gas woods ported saw was cutting off yellow poplar 8x8 at 1 second with good racechain.

Now on alky/nitro on muffler in yellow poplar stroked .70's - stock crank .80's and faster in that pine they ran in at chardon.

52mm bore and $525 for a 2mm stroked crank gives you a 81cc 372.  ;)

In my opinion the double transfer ports as oppossed to Stihls' single is what gives Husky a leg up on RPMs' .

In Canada we don't have 5cu stock appearing we generally have 0-80cc which eliminates 181,281's.

All the boys here run 272, some stroked 1 mm most not, all on pipe as the one in Simon's video. The single ring piston is mandatory.

272,371 and now 372 have been a staple here for 20 years. You will hardly find any competitive 460's.

You could run a 52mm bore run a single ring on a 038 mag piston or meteor 064 with stock crank and be 76cc. I hear there might be some 52mm wiseco pistons in 1mm thin ring single that look like mini 3120 wiseco pistons

The single ring piston is mandatory.

Why is it mandatory to have a single ring piston.

re-read your post and your asking me why a single ring is necessary :o
will a 2100 single cut down work?

Those wiseco 3120 pistons kinda raised the bar ,didn't they?

When you said mandatory single ring. I read that as a RULE up your way.

So again how do you mean single ring is mandatory?  :P

in this video the 372 is standard bored and stroke, with.... 2 ring

most of the show over here are now at 0-81.

at least 50% of the 272 you will compete again in that class are stroke to 81cc, because they,281 and 272, cut the same time!

The three I know of are not stroked and one is stroked 1mm not 2,
Hi Simon, how come no thin single ring?

Is the bridging still intact for a muffler saw?
what times is that saw cutting?
