346 crankshafts
« on: January 21, 2012, 11:17:31 am »
Art got my mind thinking today and I was searching 254 cranks and come across something on 346 crankshafts I never heard before.

Used 346 crankshafts listed as 2008 and later 346 saws and cranks for 346 before 2008.

So my question is what did they do different to the crankshafts or cases?

I don't have newer 346 IPLs and never owned 346 NE to compare saws. I quit running the 346 only a few years into production. Didn't like them, still don't.

There was an issue with some bad cranks, at least up here, with breakage on clutch side.

Thats all I can offer.

The bearings and seals have the same part numbers.

The assemblies have different part numbers
