Re: scored piston on a 345

I retrieved the saw back from the repair shop.  They are weeks behind had have not even come close to looking at it.

So I pull the muffler, and the screen is clean.  The cylinder wall, piston, and ring looks dang near new.  So I am thinking it needs some adjustment.  A co-worker mentioned the coil could be getting hot and failing.

I noticed the spec sheet shows the 345 hi rpm 12,500 and the 455 hi rpm 13,500.  I could be mistaken but it really sounds like that 345 revs higher than the 455.

Your Thoughts, would be appreciated.   ???
I get in trouble for looking at saws.  She thinks 6 is enough, for firewood and keeping the property trimmed. ( I really like this site )
