I have a reasonable Husqvarna 261 as the base for a project. What I was toying with was using the piston for a 365SP (48mm) in a 261 instead of a 262XP (48mm) piston. The 262 piston is windowed and the 365 is not. The idea would be to raise complession without doing a bunch of machining.

262XP piston
Compression height pin center to top 21.0mm
Overall height 41.5mm

365SP piston
Compression height pin center to top 22.5mm
Overall height 42.5mm

Not sure if any of this will work, just throwing it out there to see what everyone thinks might be gained if anything.

And if I ran the 1mm base gasket that Spike60 was talking about in another thread the squish should come out right at or near .020.
