source for seals

where can I buy a set of crank seals for an old 65l husky
and were they also interchangeable on other models,thanks in advance Keith

Your dealer just doesn't wanna be bothered with somebody fixing an 'old saw'.  That saw uses the same seals as a 272XP...

I get nice replacement seals from my local bearing supply....They are 15mm x 26mm x 6mm ....About $2 each

Rob are they double lip with a garter spring?  Do you have the CR/SKF/Timken/National/whatever numbers for those?

Yes, they are nice double lip seals with the spring.....They come in a generic package with as many as I order in one bag....I buy 8 or 10 at a time for both the 266, etc. & the 288 etc.

I can post a pic tomorrow. Maybe you can decipher a #.....The part # is the size (ID-OD-width)....They are a full nitrile seal with a rubberized outside, if you know what I mean.
