Here is my favorite saw. The rakers are set for limbing, not felling.

IF that was you in the videos you have your "stuff" together.
If you were in the US you would need at least a 70cc saw and 24" bar to even consider taking down that tree, and a v8 powered knocking over device! (no offence to my southern neighbours, things are just done differently in different places and we all learn from each other).   Good use of the felling lever (alebight not used in this case) and amazing stump.
Have you had much luck with the cant arm on it? I tossed mine, found it too ackward to use, but kept it just in case I change my mind.

That was me in my younger days. No trouble with the hook, got it bolted down so tight it probably will never come out.

When new guys came to work with their new 371s they would laugh at the old man with the baby saw, until payday when they saw what I got for $.

I always told them that they could beat me up 1 tree with a 371 but not up 100. ;)

Ha ha ha.

I guess we Americans are expected to be good sports about this sort thing now a days. Especially after the the world wide apology tour by the moron in the white house.

Not all of us though.

LIMBING

Have it all designed, just trying to determine what to use for "limbs".

great work Art, very efficient. Now I fully understand why you harp on little saws.

My go to work saw is a snotty ported 5100 that cuts most of l my hardwood in the piles. Maybe its how nimble it is or the 16 inch bar that is short enough to not always be poking in the log behind it causing kickback and cosmetic blemishes to the stick behind it but darn it I like that saw.
A few folks are trying to get me into a NE346 but it just hasn't happened yet.
If I was bucking in the woods I would want a longer bar for sure.

What kind of tree, spruce?Look at the buttressed roots , framing lumber or pulp?
The ground looks a little spongy and kinda rough for a forwarder.

A guy in NB cuts the same sort of ground and does 200 trees a day, that's a days work in my eyes.

Well done.

I'd end up taking a knee cap off trying that. But I would try it one time 4 fun.  ;D

Spruce log, who knows it may be in your house. We are either on rocks or in swaps, gear takes a beating here, never freezes up anymore.

When we ran the big Cat skidder it had 24 chokers, had to fill it 10 times per day. Put your head down and work. I could not do that pace today. It took its toll on the body.
