For those who work as a Husqvarna service provider, we know that Husqvarna had some major problems
with these models when starting up warm. They improved many things (electronic. carburetor...)
If you get in the shop the model from 2011 with this issue, do you change carburetor with the old one (different connections),
or do you put in new electronic with new type of carburetor?
Thanks.

I'd like to know more about the problems you are having w/the saw. I borrowed a buddy of mines a couple months ago, also a 2011.....he claims he hasn't had any problems w/it.....I may have 3 or 4 hrs. use out of it......and have noticed no starting or running issues w/it.......he had a 24" bar on it, I thought it to be a bit under powered......opened up the muff. a bit, an threw a 20" bar on....turned it into a pretty good runner.

OPP'S......just noticed......mine is not an XP model......it is the 460 X-TORQ....My bad.....been half sick all wk....my head is not working w/my eyes

As far as I know, a large percentage of "warm start issues" are caused by people not reading (or ignoring) the manual, and not performing it the correct way (with "fast idle" activated).

560XP, 562XP, 555, 545, 550XP etc. use computer programmed carburetors, no way to adjust anything, and 90% professional users.

HVA actually provides updates to the AT firmware. If you have the Auto Tune Diagnostic tool you can obtain the revision level of the current firmware level on the saw, then sign onto dealer support at HVA and check to see if new firmware has been released for the product. If so, you can download it and the diagnostic tool can be used to update the product with the latest firmware.

Computers can do amazing things but in reality they are not very smart. Can do millions of repetitive things very very quickly but the things they do are very simple in nature. Computer controlled devices are set up to work properly within a narrow region of circumstances, go outside that set of parameters and all bets are off. So, the process that SawTroll suggests users are ignoring is within the parameters of the firmware programming and the computer will make the correct decisions and the saw will start.

I work as a repair shop manager for one of Husqvarna dealers in EU...anyway, I found out that internal repair policy changed dramatically in 2014 at least in my country, the repairs became more of a ''let's get the chain'' out of warranty period but with the clear tehnical and factory faults.

Husqvarna made quite some changes with 550XP, 560XP, 562XP... but as it looks there are still problems with the carburetors, it feels like AT is just not there yet, less problems as with 2011, 2012 models but as I see there are still problems with late 2013 models with all the latest upgrades. I'm interested what's the Husqvarna warranty repair practice in other countries.

I know very well what it is, and professionals often are more ignorant than informed non-pros + I don't believe the 90% number, but it may of course be correct in your area.  ;)

Also, I didn't mention any adjustment, just using the correct procedure, according to the manual.

I have a 545 and a 550XP and IIRC they are mid 2012 models.

Never any start problems warm or cold. Always perfect.

Before a warm start, I set the choke and turn it off in order to set the fast idle. I never read any manual but common sense told me to do it this way as I seen how it was made.

Niko have you ever got any run time on your 560xp you got back in 2011.
If so is it broken in yet and have you seen any of the many problems that the folks complain about in the UK forums.  Plenty of issues it seems.
