I remember seeing the 560xp released and many problems abroad. We here had our 562xp recalled during that time and released later after updating.

Niko have you ever got any run time on your 560xp you got back in 2011.
If so is it broken in yet and have you seen any of the many problems that the folks complain about in the UK forums.  Plenty of issues it seems.

For some odd reason it seems like there have been more issues with those saws in the UK than anywhere else, which may have something to do with the fact that there are many more early 2011 ones there than anywhere else - or it may not.  ???

No, I have not been able to use any chainsaws since 2011, because of joint related health issues. My last surgery for some time (I hope) is due any moment now - and hopefully I will be able to use saws again some time after that....  ;D

My thoughts are with you with the joint problems as I had bilateral knee replacement 11 years ago after fighting knee and hip problems for a few years. After the knees were replaced, the hips have not bothered me. I guess I have been lucky.

I have quite bad arthritis and some injuries as well. I have had two hip replacements (both the same hip), and what is due now is fixation of a badly damaged and arthritis riddled ancle. Then my back is very painful, but it doesn't look like anything can be done about that.
I guess that is more than enough complaining - I still hope to get back into the woods, and buy more saws!  ;D

2008 I injured my right ring finger on the end and some kind of sympathetic arthritis set in and stiffened the hand up the where I couldn't use the fingers. The hand was just a club. After a year of that, I started taking glucosamine chondroitin  and it started getting better. After about 6 months, I could pull a chainsaw starter again. I was told that if I quit taking the pills that my hand would get stiff again.

The moral to this story is that it is possible to help with some arthritis problems but if the bones are deformed or cartilage gone I doubt its effectiveness?

I'm a congestive heart failure person that is in AFib. These people tend to have gout due to several reasons one of being the medication we take.  So the doctor prescribed allopurinol 300 which keeps the uric acid level down. No more ghost pains in my fingers and feet.

When you say so, I remember I used glucosamine at some point, but I don't remember why I quit using it. I will ask the doctor the next time I visit her - but suspect it was because it didn't work for me.
There are many kinds of Arthritis, and not the same works on all of them. Nothing has worked very well on mine, after Vioxx suddenly were banned many years ago, because of side effects.

I'm sure it only works in a narrow realm of conditions.

My aggravating problem is beginning to be peripheral neuropathy. It has been coming on me here and there for 20 years along with carpal tunnel syndrome. Little small things have become a problem for me to pick up or put them in the exact place they belong. I still do fine with a cup of coffee.

Therefore I appreciate the Auto Tune saws like the 560XP where I don't have to use the little screw driver to adjust the needles every day I start to use the chainsaw.

I have serious problems with my right hand (I am right handed), but my left is a bit better, so I always dropstart my saws with the left on the rope. I discovered that it is the safest and best way anyway, after I was forced to do it.  ;)

However, I don't have a real problem with adjusting a carb with my right hand, it just hurts, and I have to really focus on the task.
Making a fist is not possible at all, but on the left it is just the middle finger that won't, on the right it is all..
