I gave up trying to follow it over the tractor noise.

:) I shut it off on YouTube.

Bottom line?

You can buy a "PACME" 372 50mm aftermarket replacement cylinder/piston from any where between $40 dollars on eBay to $120 from a reseller with a fancy website & good sales pitch.  :-\
Same with that Huztl 52mm 372 Big Bore Kit I reviewed.....  Anywhere from $50 to $130 depending on what color and pictures are on the box its in & what website I choose to buy it from. Huztl on ebay is the best place to get a "black" 52mm Cylinder I've found so far. :o

Not going to focus on that subject again. Kind of enlightening & frustrating all at once this AM subject is. Watch YouTube & Raw data will appear there... with no analysis.

Might be fun to see  who can find the cheapest place to buy a PACME 372 "Silver" 50mm...... Think I found one for $27 bucks. New

AND the most expensive place.. I know where that is!

Just bought another "Dark" 52mm 372 Big Bore for $49 bucks... Wonder where the most expensive iteration of that one is. Not going to bother hunting for that.

Well WD have you now decided to only use AM C/P kits or are you gong to go back to OEM? Just got a Hyway 52mm BB jug back from my buddy the gunsmith who cut the squish such that I could use an OEM Stihl 064 52mm piston in it without a base gasket. Don't have a bottom end right now to put it on but have a pile of junk Husqvarna saws coming in later this week, perhaps there will be a 365/71/72 bottom end in the pile.

Check the skirt width for widen the ports.  Compare the OEM 064 to the Meteor aftermarket 064 piston and I think you will end up going aftermarket. If your wanting to go wider then oem will let you.   ;)

I'm headed more to OEM for future projects....at least the ones that I show in video's. BUT for me & Chits & grins I plan to take YOUR lead and build & use a pair of Huztl's 52mm top ends with Meteor 52mm 064 pistons! Going to use a .010 gasket and that 064 piston. If the Cylinder's I have on the way (Purchased them for approx. $48 dollars each BTW) match the one's I've seen, I should end up with about .020 squish. Also plan to get the intake around 78-79 degree's BTDC and a 3/4 tube muffler mod. (vs. std .5in - 5/8in inch on the standard Huztl bought mufflers) One of those Huztl's will be put to work in an actual commercial environment with a large logging outfit (don't ask 'cause I won't tell)  and the other will stay with me as a foil & comparison to the "Stock" huztl.. (Ponder that for a second) and my OEM builds. The one headed to the commercial world is being built on a Jonsered 2166 chassis.. It's getting ceramic bearings... because I want to ... and might use the 2166 x-torq carb too (if it will blend) to see what happens in addition to the mods previously described. The one staying with me is being build to my typical 365 plastic configuration (I have a 365 carcass.. it too is getting ceramic bearings and new OEM seals) My goal with the "Dark" 52mm 372 style cylinder's from Huztl is to make them run as strong if not stronger than OEM for less money and simple hand tools. The one I built is already real close with just a simple Three Bond 1194 build that yielded .032in squish. With your inspiration of the 064 and the few simple tweaks I mentioned... I think I'll achieve that goal. The results of  these projects will hit YouTube next year after they have real time on them.

I will run mine through the year as the main saw for me. I have a few jobs and typical work that will test those builds. My reviews & working video's aren't staged. Jut real life raw on video. Folks like Huztl and zuanzuanparts are selling these things at Dealer Cost prices on eBay where anyone with PayPal can shop.  AND searching Alibaba shows sales channels closer yet to the source of these parts. I plan to get my hands on a Hyway and a few others & do an analysis from an ex manufacturing engineers prospective. (As a young engineer many years ago, I did casting & mold design. As an application engineer & product manager in the CAD/CAM business I spend a lot of time in places ranging from die casting shops to  investment casting shops in addition to the countless machine shops & manufacturing facilities. Sort have been around. Both State side & abroad. I don't even believe my resume anymore.)

Problem is this for me. For a person who makes a living with a saw, or a person who can only have one saw (or two). OEM is a better more reliable deal, that's all I can honestly recommend. For folks like me who just hack around, these AM parts are fun to test theory with.... low risk as they are cheap. But I can't recommend them in higher risk than what I have situations.

Hope you can make one of our GTG's so we can compare notes! Have a Lathe on the way this summer too. AND BTW we are having an AHMRA race on the farm late summer!
