Longer start rope ?
« on: February 29, 2016, 12:53:00 am »
Would it be possible to put a longer than stock start rope in my 562xp ? It's a hard starting saw and I sometimes think maybe a longer start rope might help a little.

I think it is possible. You would have to make sure the extra rope does not cause any binding issues. Also make sure that the recoil spring has at least another turn after you tension it. A spring that is to tight will eventually brake.

I bought the saw brandnew a year ago and have always thought it should start easier than it did after its warmed up, well this is kind of embarrassing but today I finally figured out how to operate the fast idle switch, after I figured that out the saw so far has started on the first pull every time like it should.
