Title: Not a chain saw but still a Stihl saw
Post by: reynog on June 26, 2012, 11:38:54 am
I've been looking for a cut-off saw and found a used Stihl TS 400.
Any opinions on this model vs. any of the others?

They are a pretty good unit.
Cut-off saws are some of the most abused tools I know of.
The air filter must be changed/cleaned AT LEAST daily and sometimes more often.
Check the piston and cylinder closely that is the first thing to go.
Concrete dust and rust/metal filings are hard on the internals.
