You caught me by surprise when you said they were NLA. It was either last year or year before I had just bought new ones for dad and myself.
Wish I would have thought to put a few back myself now.
-
Well I finally found a filter. It is a nylon one and used but in good shape. It was listed as a 2700, 2800 filter. Thanks for the help.
-
I was going to tell you about the one on chainsawr. But it was already sold today.
I seen it about 3 days ago. If it is same one.

I will gladly take one if it is available, no problem chipping in and helping out in any way I can either. Thanks for looking out! LMK what ya need from me, and I will make it happen.
Big thanks to Tractorsaw, I wasn't following along (haven't been on here or AS near as much lately), and he gave me the heads up. Thanks again buddy.

Okay so I just left the hardware store and bought all they had which ended up be 6. The price for these is going to $ 15 shipped via paypal gift or usps money order. I would like everyone that needs a filter to get 1 each and then if I have extras I will sell to one person. I'm selling these very reasonable to help the forum as I have been helped in the past.
-
Send me a paypal request if you would, to Procarbine2k1 at aol.com,unless you would rather have a m/o. I have a couple vinyl Poulan decals left over from the Poulan GTG, would be a little way to say thanks if I could send a couple your way. This is greatly, greatly appreciated.

Very Nice of you to do this for folks................ 8)

Glad Jeff got 1, while I don't need one yet, I knew Jeff needed 1 & wasn't too sure how long these would be available, sometimes not logging in for a day can miss some deals. I called a place over in IL with the part numbers Kevin bumped up, guy was real nice said he didn't have the nylon I was looking for or & told me the flocked number (I was surprised at that but he didn't have those either). He said he mainly had homelite parts & he said he keep my number & if he came across some would call me back.

Thanks Kevin for hosting a site that doesn't make you walk on egg shells.

Let me know when you are done if anyone dont claim or pay for theirs. I will pay for what is left over and have shipped to me. I think Mike aka rsmmoperman (something like that for username) offered the same thing if he hasnt already got hold of you.
Just let us know. They are covered for your troubles doing this for us.
-
I made the same offer also. If any left over just let me know I will take care of it.
-
Long as they are taken care of is all I ask. This guy did us all a favor. Roger or Mike get them after all is said and done then on what is left.
If something happens, I'll be the last resort.
-
I guarantee you won't get stuck with them!

I have about 6 saws that use those filters.
-
Do they have other Poulan air filters at that hardware store? I could use a spare 530023046 or two for my 306/245 saws...............and a couple spare 530010247 filters for the big countervibes.
Heck while I'm throwing out Poulan numbers to look for.........................there's 530024224 and 530024225 for the big countervibe saw AV isolators. Would like to grab a bunch of those at a realistic price. They're listed for stupid money on feebay now. There's other numbers too...
-
That thought had crossed my mind too. Wondering what new old stock that place had on hand.

Yep. Crosses my mind every time somebody mentions scoring an old part at some out of the way place. I could bury the poor fellow in NLA Poulan #'s. Done it before with other guys that've asked me "anything you want me to look for while I'm there?"..............8)
-
That's basically all they had. There was another local place that had a lot but sold everything not to long ago.
-
Just heard they are all spoken and paid for. THANKS magnumfloyd 8) for going out of your way to help these folks out.

While working on dads 3300 I noticed it had some flocking missing on the air filter. Which I will try BB redneck fix later on.
Anyhow I ask dad where is the new filter I bought him years ago. He stated hanging up. So I told him to bring it up with him last weekend. Turns out I had bought him a NOS mesh one.
Now my question being that I have a NOS 530010855 mesh air filter and NOS 530010892 flocked air filter. Which would be better for him? Which one would you think would be better trapping fines?
I never paid any attention to them or any filtering difference etc in the past. I am leaning toward putting flocked back on his saw.
-
I think he flocked filters are a little better at sifting out the real fine stuff, but anything that can get through the mesh will go through the engine too.
Don't think more into this than is really there. ;)
Mike
-
I agree the flocked is a little better.
-
I figured there shouldnt be much difference and I never noticed any on my saws in the past. I just wanted to put the best on there for dad being I had 2 new to choose from.
Thanks Roger for the trade on the flocked one. Thats what I am putting on his now and keeping the mesh for my spare.
-
No problem Kevin, glad to see it will be put to good use.
-
Couple of the NOS flocked out there BIN. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Poulan-Air-Filter-Part-952-014130-NOS-NLA-/231482260718?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35e56afcee
I am good to go so just passing this on.
