Title: China made Chain
Post by: Cut4fun . on September 09, 2012, 07:52:19 pm
Guy comes in the shop today with new forester bar and turns out to be forester chain with no forester marking just on box it came in.
Anyways the chain had C1 on the drive links and reminded me of a carlton chain and the thin older raker design.

Just so you know what it is when you see C1 only on these chains.

I bought a spool of .325 x .063 to try.  Only got two chains out so I don't know on quality yet.  Shep

That is all we have been running on the harvester 404 080 gauge hardly any stretch and holds edge good. operator told me not to get anymore oregon for them. i hadnt had any of their chain here for years it used to stretch bad but i see more stretch in the oregon on these chains.

I got a few loops of this forester chain in to cover some odd DL counts that Husky doesn't offer. So far it seems to be decent chain.

Got that forester chain back in to sharpen for the guy.

So anyone else have any forester china chain feedback?
