Title: Blitz 501
Post by: Ian Gillard on November 07, 2012, 04:31:37 am
Hi all,
I have a Blitz 501 Chainsaw that I bought about 30 years ago,
Its been a brilliant saw but now has a worn main chain drive sprocket.
I am having trouble getting any info on the saw, and my Google search bought up this site.
If anyone has any idea if these chainsaws are still being made, and where i may be able to get parts
It would be a great help.
Thanks
Ian

If you look at acres site Blitz isnt listed as a saw maker, so probably are made by someone else and renamed.  Just a WAG.

To look at OLYMPYK saws listed on acres site.

The saw  was manufactured by the Italian company that has had a few name changes, currently parent company is Emack, or in US Efco. Some saw brands manufactured by them, Olympic, Oleo Mac, Vap, Naudic, Nauder,  The Blitz & at least one other brand seem to have only marketed in the southern hemisphere, Oleo Mac, & Vap are still marketed in France along with the present day name of Efco

That Blitz 501 is the export version of the Oleo Mac 251 (same saw) any dealer should be able to get a sprocket, they are still available.
