Title: 026 runs poorly
Post by: Old Iron Logging on March 10, 2011, 03:15:28 pm
Homeowner comes in saying his 026 does not run right. No idea why. Think I found the problem.

When I service my old partner 500 I gave to a friend to use for firewood. It usually comes in like that too.
He's the guy that was boiling the gas last summer in the 500, being he was laid off and could cut in the summer time.

The saw is 8 years old. First time the filter was cleaned. It has great compression. Owner is 70 and can't pull it over. Offered to put a decomp cylinder on it. He is thinking of getting a new saw instead.

Will he get something smaller ? I think he would be best to take you up on the de-comp offer, can't beat those 026's. The saw looks pretty clean from the pics. He mustn't use it much, probably for small stuff & yardwork type chores ??
Good luck,he'll do ok by you which ever way he goes.
