As you all know by now mweba took a 555 and put the 562 transfer covers and crank stuffers on a 555 to make a 560xp that we cant buy here. Small mount bar saw, where 562xp is lg mount.
I know he said some other stuff was added and I will let him fill you in.
Per Mitch = More detail, saw is running a 562xp micro and software along side the 555 ignition. Saw ran without error and in tune perfectly so the "incompatibility" in is question. The top end is bone stock and pulled consistent 10K in mulberry.

Yes, 562 top end (trans covers do the trick), 562xp micro w/ programming and crank stuffers. Husqvarna claims incompatibility between the 62 micro and 555 ignition but I found no issue as of yet.
Now for the bad, I damaged the plastic bearing cages during assembly. Being this is a friends saw (he full well understood the risk), I purchased a new crank case assembly for this unit. Awaiting its arrival.

Performed every measurement imaginable, the cylinders are the same beside the trans covers.

Ordered several five series service tools along with the case. Case splitter and install tool among those ordered.

must hurt to be proven wrong by some non-engineer saw hack! :)
good job.
is there any metal shielded bearings that would replace the stock plastic ones?
-
well doesn't husqvarna look a litte red in the face :)

Started to search but it appears to be an OE spec. SKF is the maker

......
Does this mean that the "rev-boost" isn't in the ignition, but in the AutoTune software? ???
Btw, running for a while with no (apparent) error doen't really prove it is fully compatible, but of course it raises the question. ;)

Those SKF E2 series bearings are special high speed - low friction design.

thanks magnum! i guess now the question is other than for dissassembly and reassembly will they hold up in the long run? just don't like plastic in the bearings when it comes to chainsaws. you know how some people are about cleaning out their saws. usualy never and that makes them run hotter. much hotter.
good job.

::)

Im hesitant about plastic aswell. That being said, the ms290310390 saws ate plastic. Many other too.
Only good thing i can say out of this deal, metal cages would have made the saw a paper weight.

I would bet on Mitch getting it to work over anything a rep says. Lets just wait and see how it turns out.
Of course it's got to get past these weak case issues first and plastic caged bearings. :o Holy Crap ::)
-
Mitch did the rev-boost work on this 555 with the software you installed? Being 555 dont have the rev-boost stock. I had always thought the rev-boost was a timing thing in the coil.
What is your take on this?

husky engineering at it's best. they need to revise a few times before getting it right. :)
like i said, this is only the info i recieved. from mutiple dealers and one rep. (i have 5 dealers/service centers in driving distance). never said it would/wouldn't work, just that husqvarna is telling them around here to watch out when working on them. basicly covering their asses if a problem arises.

I couldn't tell you if the 62 had it or not lol. Seat of the pants feel, they are identical. No proof either way.

How's it running now after back together? Must be nice to have them special tools on hand now. ;) 8)

So far so good. The owner is happy and so was I. It runs just like a 562 with a MM. Quick and strong in the cut.

Making room for the stuffers, the reason the first bearing went south.
