Built by Ryobi, motor? See a lot of these refurbs at Glen's Surplus and the curiosity made me look them up. $100-$125
So anyone run one or have more info?

I deal with parts and service requests on these POS every day. They are imported through Homelite for Home Depot. At that price the bar and chain will need to be purchased separately so not much of a saving.

I'm not interested in buying, just curious. Never even seen any one that has used one.

i see these as well as the red homelite versions show up all the time with broken pullstarts and chainbrakes. same problems they had when they first came out a bunch of years ago. seems they still haven't done anything about that :)
properly tuned, they are nothing special in the wood. not horrible but not a power house by no means. the a.v. is as sloppy as a 3 dollar hooker and do nothing to dampen any vibes. weak clutch leads to slipping pretty easy. just a very cheap chainsaw sold for more than it's worth. nothing like the little redmax style ryobi's from a few years back which were little sleepers with very good build quality and power.
these "new" ryobi's and homelites are one of the VERY few saws i won't work on. i'd be much happier if somebody was to go out and buy a little $100 poulan. so far and above in quality and power. even the 33cc poolans are more powerful out of the box than the 46cc ryobi/homelite.

These 33cc poulans are really 42cc saws. Like 3314 3316 etc. They do say 42cc class on the back sticker.
I've never pulled a top and measured.

It seems that over the years Poulan would use the parts on hand to complete the job, even if it meant that the CC/CI exceeded what the labels on the covers read. Hopefully they didn't work the same in reverse!
