doing some searching for you and the 308 motor. These numbers turn up.

I have no clue if these are right or wrong motors. So check into them.

Thanks for the research
I have seen the GE motor number pop up also but have been unable to locate it online to check out the specs. The Grainger part number looks close to the  rpm that could work but its a c face mounting. The probem I might run into are the clearances. If i fabricate a 90 degree bracket to mount the C face motor and utilize the studs cut short then use the foot mount holes for alignment with the pullies located on the motor and arbor I may run out of room if the shaft is to short? What the Belsaw rep told me was their supplier changed the motor design of the one they used on the 308  for years and the clearances were to close to fit the frame.  He said the Belsaw motor has not been available for a few years. I would imagine some one has faced and solved this problem before me. The pictures posted of the  308 frame look like the one I just purchased on EBAY but I have not received it yet. That should help  a bit when I know what I have to work with. It looks like it could be a size 42 foot mounted 3/8" motor shaft from the Baldor chart I found that is the smallest foot mount motor manufactured on their chart.
Thanks again for any information you come across. Bob

The Grainger motor has a 5/16" shaft?

Also the 308 grinder motor mount on the grinder is "C" faced as well as saddle mount
