I was just telling Jeff I only care about the partners 500 5000 5500 = 325 . Scratch that, I forgot I like the poulan and jonsered versions of these partners too.
Wish we could get the all yellow ones here. ;) Partner 7700 and Partner 660

Those were nice looking chainsaws. From running the 5000+, I'm sure these run good too. The 5000+ stands right up there with the latest PRO offerings.

I think you have ran them both in my Poulan versions. PP 415 65cc = 660 and PP 475 77cc = 7700

Yes, that is correct and they ran good too.
-
Those Partners are some of the best looking saws ever IMO.

Basically, but at least some 660s were equivalent of the PP425, and not the 415 (fully developed "air injection"). Also the P7700 came with the fully developed "air injection" from 1992 or so - unlike the PP475, but like the Jonsered 2077 (at least in Europe, there wasn't a 2083II here). There also was a P710, that was the same as the PP445.
All those saws were made at the Husky factory, but there weren't any Husky version of any of them.

425 and 415 cylinders are the same though and thats what counts in the cut. I own both. ;)

That one I am unsure now. Memory isnt what it once was. But he was the only person I was aware of with all 3.
He is a member here if you want to ask him. ;)

That 7700 looks an awful lot like a mcculloch titan 70 and if so are any parts available
-
The heating unit, wall switch, and door knob are very nice but do not look like common USA items

I highly doubt it. 7700 is Partner saw that is also the Poulan 475 and Jonsered 2077 2083 II and just smaller bore 710 660 415 425 415 445 and larger bore 505 2083.

Its one of those discussions there is no wrong in. This is a Partner project to begin with.
Partner and Jonsered merged in Jonsered and had this project going before the engineers from Partner/Jonsered got moved to Husqvarna were all engineers was mixed and got projects of any of the brands within Elux.
A buddy of mine was working in Husqvarna a few years before this and at the time they got merged designed something on the saws as well.
Partner design made in the husqvarna plant. poulan 415 425 445 475 505 jred 2077 2083 2083ii partner 7700 710 660

@SawTroll From my understanding the partner design saws poulan jonsered was made in the husqvarna plant. Couple guys say they were made on the jonsered plant. Anything out there to back either up?

You are right.
The Swedish production of Jonsereds saws was moved from the Jonsereds factory to the Partner factory in 1979 - and that was the end of chainsaw production at the Jonsereds factory. Then the Swedish production of both Partner and Jonsered saws was moved to the Husky factory in 1987.
In addition, Husky had started making Jonsereds/Jonsered saws in 1982. Those were new models, based on existing Husky models (630 and 670).

Ended up with one of these smaller spike. They were also used on jonsered versions.

Looking at 92 partner 7700 IPL http://ersatzteillisten.motoruf.de/Partner/Motorsaegen/ipl,%20partner,%20p660,%20p7700,%201992-01,%20chain%20saw.pdf
and 95 http://ersatzteillisten.motoruf.de/Partner/Motorsaegen/ipl,%20partner,%20p660,%20p7700%20ccs,%201995-01,%20chain%20saw.pdf
I expected this 7700 saw to have the air injection. But this 52mm 7700 dont. So the early 2077 and 475 cylinder will work without even having to leave the air injection tube off.
Guy looking for my NOS 475 cylinder kit pic of 7700 cl he pulled off to show me.

sawtroll corrected his partner 7700 info.
The most important mistakes are related to the P7700 family of saws, and the origin of the "Air Injection".
First, the P7700 didn't come in 1984, it came much closer to 1990 - and it didn't have the fully developed "Air Injection" before the 1992 "model year". Also, all saws in that "family" were made at the Husky factory, not the Jonsered or Partner one - despite there weren't any Husky versions (all Swedish made saws for all E-lux brands had been made at the Husky factory since some time in 1987). Actually, no chainsaws had been made at the Jonsereds factory since 1979, when saw production was moved to the Partner factory.
-
Yeah I remember Sawtroll talking about the Partner/Jonsered connection introducing the air injection in 1988 with the Jonsered 2050 Turbo. Husqvarna 262XP had air injection in 1989. But I don't remember a Partner with it at that time.
How is Niko doing?
Is he posting anywhere?

Saving this guys info.
