What are the most common angle combinations used out there when sharpening chains and the best way to reshape a    chipped stone thanks.

The Jolly would likely compare with the Oregon 510

The Jolly Star would use the same angles as a Oregon 511AX.  It would probably be best to match what ever the chain was already ground to?

The grinder head would be at 85 degrees for semi chisel chain and .325 chisel would be 80 degrees and 3/8 chisel 60 degrees.

The vise would be swivelled to an angle to match the top plate on the chain. These angles vary between 25 degrees and 35 degrees depending on the chain you are running.

The top plate on many chains is tilted 10 degrees but many people do not bother
With the Jolly Star there are little compensation adjustments to be made on the vise swivel and the head tilt for the top plate tilt if you use the 10 degree deal.

To reshape the grinding wheel there is a little silicon carbide rectangular stone that is held by hand to reshape the grinding wheel

Thanks 660 this jolly is over thirty years old but still in good cond return spring is getting weak and when I first got it I ground int the chain stop and stuffed it up must make or buy a new one of those  I have ownede it for 29 years and have usually tried to copy the existing chains angles but I got out of whack somewhere and it looked like I was grinding fishooks.
