I was impressed with the little husky 435 with 325 semi chisel I got to test and tune today. 8)

When cut4fun tuned it by ear and then checked by tach, the HS was just below 12,000 which should be good for it was a new chain saw with less than a tank through it.
This one had the Champion RCJ7Y spark plug. A 16" Husqvarna bar and narrow kerf Husqvarna .325 semi chisel chain. It was originally purchased at the local Lowes in late 2009 or 2010 and has been setting in a out building.
It seemed to cut with gusto and good power in 10" wood after cut4fun got the needles set. Seemed like it would be a nice limb saw. It has the splined carburetor screws.

One of my faves. We have several T435's in service now. Good power, easy to work on and cheap.

My dealer isn't too happy to sell the 435/440, as his experience is that people tend to believe thay are capable of more than they really are. ;)

Totally different saw, a rebranded Zenoah (Redmax in the US) top handle.

I ran that 435 X-Torq a few minutes ago and the owner across the street and I cut a few sticks with it. It certainly is a nice homeowner chainsaw.
I would take it over a Poulan "Wild Thing" any day. I had been tuning & running 50/52cc chainsaws and seen the neighbor out picking up old limbs so I delivered his Husqvarna too him and we ran it some.

Something I did notice about the Husqvarna 435 while I had it in my possession was that it had a Walbro coil somewhat like on a Homelite weed whacker.
I suspect the coil on the Poulan 5020 may be the same though most of the parts in the Poulan 5020 said Husqvarna on them?
The Husqvarna 435 in spite of its Number sequence of 435 is a 42cc chainsaw and really whirls the .325 X 16" narrow Kerf chain.
The 435 is many times the saw that the current Poulan "Wild Thing" is.

The problem with my neighbor's 435 is that it isn't mine.
I think it is narrow kerf for it has that unusual symbol on the bar that looks like a capital "H" with the top two rungs closer together.
My 025's/MS250 will out cut it but the Stihls are 2 or 3 cc's bigger and have a large tooth .325 chisel chain.

That's because Poulan is owned by Husky, and they now define the Poulan factory as a Husky factory.

SIL is using mine and he Loves it. Running a 15'' .325 x 62dl SC chain. Real happy with it. It's a nice little saw. Won't let him have my Dolmar 421 he's hard on stuff esp mine LOL.
