Title: Poulan collection pics
Post by: Cut4fun on June 19, 2013, 01:48:26 pm
Post up some pics of your guys poulan collections, old and newer. Sets, series etc.

I know some of the collector guys out there are getting some nice saws together.

I'm into the newer ones myself, 80's 90's early 2000's, but like looking and learning on the older stuff too.

Here are a few of my sandcast Poulans. 2-man and sandcast saws 5.5 cu. in. and higher. I have to organize them better, so I can put the bows and bars on most of them.

If anyone around pa/ohio is coming to the gtg in august wants an old gear drive let me know i will bring it and you can have it. I believe it is a poulan it says sears and its poulan green, looks to weigh about the same as a wheelbarrow load of rocks.
I ain't shipping it anywhere. I dont know a thing about it.

It might run or it might not probably not but it is free

Here are a few of my more modern Poulans - a number of decendants of the 3000 series, other miscellaneous and a rare Poulan S6000 (Dolmar 153). The plastic carrying cases, that most of the saws are sitting on, contain more smaller Poulans from the 80s, 90s and a few from the 2000s. I don't know how to put descriptions under photos or I would. I have restored my 252 w/bow (3rd photo) but am waiting for decals - I believe that this rare model was the last geardriven chainsaw introduced by any manufacturer. Poulan was known for their old low reving, very durable geardriven saws.
Also have a restored 5200 (original version) waiting on decals, a 4400 waiting on some decals and a restored 3000 waiting on a good starter housing.
Pioneers are my first love, so I am working on 3 Poulan Pro Saws that started their design life as Pioneer.

Thanks for sharing............. 8) ;D

That BadBoy looks new.  Is it a 3750?  I had 3 of the 3750 60cc ones.
Found a guy selling a BadBoy 3450 54cc. Only one I have seen to date.  Never seen another.  I picked it up just to make sure it got into a collectors hands.   It is already spoke and paid for and will be delivered to new owner at the ohio poulan gtg this year.

3450 bad boy thread.     http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/poulan/tim-allen-3450-poulan-bad-boy/?nowap

You got any info on this one?  Has black tank instead of green like the 3750 BB.

Yes my Bad Boy in photo is a new 3750 with green tank.
I also have a 3450 Bad Boy that is almost new condition, that I will finish when I get a starter pulley for it - robbed for some other project - I need 2 pulleys with steel tubes for this series of saw and can't find them anywhere. It has a black tank. I don't know if black tanks were std on 3450 BB, but this saw came from Poulan like this.

Nice saws thanks for showing.
Would you happen to have anymore pics of the 3750BB and 3450 BB side by side?
