Title: Stihl 660
Post by: 660magnum on July 08, 2013, 01:36:04 am
I had some big crotches to split today and my log splitter is at my son's house.

So I thought I would look at my 660 and see how it runs etc being as I have not used it since last year this time.

The 660 started right up and ran perfect. I have a 24",32", and 36" bars for this chainsaw but it was wearing the 24" today and that's what I was wanting to use anyway. The chain was good and sharp too.

I kept looking at the saw for problems and seen that the rubber air duct between the top cover and the air filter cover was installed incorrectly. I finally had to shut the saw down to get the baffle in there correctly.

After all this glory, I decided the 660 was too big and heavy for what I wanted to do.

So I thought I would look at my newer Dolmar 7900 as it needed to be used some to loosen it up.
